Tim Tebow Pictures (College Career)
In 2006 Tim Tebow started his college career on the bench, he was the back up quarterback to Chris Leak. The coach Urban Meyer decided to keep Chris Leak as starting quarterback. Tim ended up making his college debut during a game against Southern Miss. It was a goal line play that Tim ran in for a touchdown. The next game he led the team in rushing yards against UCF. That same year on September 16th he made his SEC debut. He ended up running in for a 10 yard play on his first carry, and converted a important fourth down in the 4th quarter to help lead them to the go ahead touchdown.
The biggest game of the year for Tim was the one against the LSU Tigers on October 7th. In that game he threw for two touchdowns and ran in for one more. The first score came off a one yard run by Tim, the second was a catch from his tight end Tate Casey, and the last one was a 35 yard play action pass to wide receiver Louis Murphy. He was influential in leading the Florida Gators to the National Championship that year. He not only got them there but he helped them win it as well. They played
the Ohio State Buckeyes in the 2007 BCS National Championship Game. He threw for one touchdown and rushed for another in that game. He also finished the game with 39 rushing yards. He finished his 2006 season second on the team in rushing.
In 2007 his college football career got even better, he was named the starting quarterback for the Gators before the season even started. He got national recognition for being the 2007 Breakout Player for college football. There were a few questions that arose from people that thought that Tim wasn't ready to be a full time passer. All questions were answered after his first game, after the game he was 13-17 with 300 yards, and 3 touchdowns against
Western Kentucky University. He finished the season with 217 completed passes on 317 attempts and 3132 yards gained. He had 29 touchdowns with only 6 interceptions. He rushed 194 during that season for 838 yards and 22 rushing touchdowns.

He broke the school record for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback. He also broke the SEC record for most rushing touchdowns by ANY player with 22.
