Tim Tebow Pictures (College Career cont.)
The 2008 season is expected to bring Tim Tebow more success, and he did not disappoint. He led the Gators to a 12-1 record, during the season he broke multiple records including a school record for most rushing touchdowns by any player with 37, it was held by a former player named Emmitt Smith. Tim led Florida to the SEC Championship game and won against the Alabama Crimson Tide. With that win they had a BCS Championship bid and ended up beating Oklahoma Sooners 24-14 for the National Championship.
In December he finished third in the running for the Heisman Trophy even though he got the most first place vote. However he did win the Maxwell Award becoming the only player to with it twice. During a championship celebration he announced to everyone that he is leaving his name out of the NFL Draft and will be finishing his last season with Florida. This will not only open the door for Florida to win another championship but will set in stone his stature as a premium college football player. It will also most likely promise him the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft next year.
There are other things that make him a great person on and off the field. Every since he has been a child his parents have instilled a deep christian influence in his life. That has given him the opportunity to focus on things to improve his life and not be reckless like some other people. This has given him the greatest chance of becoming successful, even if he wasn't going to be drafted it is almost certain that he will be successful. Examples of this is in the summer months he goes with his parents to the Philippines and helps with the mission. He doesn't have to do that, he don't have to put himself in harms way and have a chance to mess up his football career. He does though, and that's why he will be successful 
in life.
Another choice in his life that has given him a lot of grief from others is that he has decided to be a virgin until he is married. People are actually calling him dumb or an idiot for doing this because he could probably sleep with any girl on the University of Florida's campus. This is another reason he is going to be great, not only being safe, but it also gives him more opportunity to focus on what he needs to do to be successful. So let me be one of the few to congradulate you Tim Tebow, for being one of the most focused individuals I have ever seen before. If only more people in the country were as focused as you we would be in a much better condition.
